Lockdown

Among other things lockdowns stopped all progress with the economy. Stopped production of all industries and local manufacturing. Stopped shipping and deliveries at all levels. This loss of production and logistics caused everything that existed in the localities to go up in price.

Whatever free money act

Injected 7 trillion dollars into economy

I don’t know what the law is called that was teh stimulus package to that handed out to all people and much more to companies that filled out forms. lots of fraud was purpetrated by business of all sizes

response to Russian invasion

When Russia invaded Ukraine and the result was US + European sanctions which included stopping fertilizer sales which disrupted crop health and food production/distribution. This created more cost of food to rise besides the already risen food costs.

Illegal migration

The border is generally open to anyone entering from the south. The intentions of the Biden administration is obvious to allow the entry of anyone crossing. There has been a lot of money spent and accommodations provided for the mass illegal entry. No one is sure why this is allowed and supported. It is causing a lot of frustration with local populations especially for the existing homeless population and anyone that is victims of crime from illegal immigrants.

Summary:
The article criticizes President Biden’s immigration policies, arguing that they have led to a significant increase in illegal immigration and associated crimes across the United States. It highlights recent criminal incidents involving illegal immigrants and suggests ways the administration could address the issue.

Key Points:

1. Border Crisis Scale:
– Since 2021, the U.S. has admitted approximately as many inadmissible aliens as the entire population of El Salvador.
– In Fiscal Year 2023, Border Patrol apprehended 15,267 people with criminal convictions at the border.

2. Recent Criminal Incidents:
– The murder of nursing student Laken Riley in Georgia by a Venezuelan illegal immigrant.
– Various other crimes committed by illegal immigrants in Maryland, Louisiana, Virginia, and Utah, including murder, rape, and assault.

3. Criticism of Biden Administration Policies:
– Stopping border wall construction
– Ending the “Remain in Mexico” program
– Mass-releasing people caught entering illegally
– Misusing immigration parole to bring in large numbers of aliens

4. Proposed Solutions:
– End the “lawless abuse” of immigration parole
– Require all U.S. law enforcement to report the immigration status of arrestees
– Rescind Secretary Mayorkas’ enforcement priorities memo to allow ICE to more freely arrest and deport criminal aliens
– Enforce existing laws by detaining illegal border crossers or keeping them outside the U.S. until their cases are resolved

5. Impact on Communities:
– The article argues that these policies are bringing increased crime and costs to American suburbs and small towns.
– It claims that local budgets and public resources are being strained by the influx of illegal immigrants.

6. Dispute of Counter-Arguments:
– The article challenges claims that illegal immigrants commit fewer crimes than American citizens, citing studies from various countries.
– It argues that even if such claims were true, any crime committed by an illegal immigrant is “totally preventable.”

The article presents a strong conservative perspective on the current U.S. immigration situation, focusing on public safety concerns and criticizing the Biden administration’s approach to border security and immigration enforcement.

Goodbye Petrodollar

Saudi Arabia indicated they will be open to trading oil for anything besides US dollars. Even though this wasn’t an official policy as many people believe, there has been organizing with BRICS countries to move away from the dollar which was happening at the end of the Obama administration and escalated with the Russia sanctions that not only cut off the fertilizer supply but the US and Europe froze assets in the US and dollars in general showing that the US will persecute people that hadn’t broken any law in any country just for being associated with a government it was making an attempt to handicap and eliminate from the international community.

Saudi Arabia has not officially announced a policy to stop trading oil exclusively in US dollars, but there have been indications of openness to using other currencies for oil transactions. Here are the key points to understand:

1. No official policy change: Saudi Arabia has not formally announced any plans to stop accepting US dollars for oil trades[1]. The idea that there was a 50-year petrodollar pact expiring is a myth[1].

2. Openness to other currencies: Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan stated at the World Economic Forum that Saudi Arabia is open to discussing trade arrangements in various currencies, including the US dollar, euro, or Saudi riyal[3].

3. Existing non-dollar transactions: Saudi Arabia has been selling small amounts of oil for non-dollar assets like Chinese yuan, Russian rubles, and gold for many years[1].

4. Dollar dominance persists: The US dollar remains dominant in global trade and finance:

   – 47.3% of global payments use US dollars as of April 2024[1]

   – 84% of global trade finance market transactions are denominated in USD[1]

   – 58% of disclosed foreign reserves were in US dollars in 2022[1]

5. BRICS expansion and de-dollarization efforts: The BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) has expanded to include Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Iran, Ethiopia, and Argentina. This group is working towards reducing reliance on the US dollar and promoting local currencies for global trade[5].

6. Potential impacts: If Saudi Arabia were to significantly shift away from the US dollar for oil trades, it could:

   – Weaken the US dollar’s position in international markets

   – Potentially increase costs of imported goods in the United States

   – Impact the overall US economy[5]

7. Geopolitical context: These discussions are taking place against a backdrop of changing global dynamics, including:

   – Reduced US dependence on Saudi oil due to increased domestic production

   – China becoming Saudi Arabia’s largest oil customer

   – Tensions arising from US sanctions on Russia and asset freezes[4]

It’s important to note that while there are ongoing efforts to diversify currency usage in international trade, particularly among BRICS nations, the US dollar still maintains a dominant position in global finance. Any significant shift away from the dollar would likely be a gradual process rather than an abrupt change.

Maui wildFire 2023

The 2023 Hawaii wildfires, primarily on Maui, were a series of devastating fires starting on August 8. Wind-driven and exacerbated by dry conditions, the fires caused widespread destruction, especially in Lahaina, where over 2,200 buildings were destroyed, mostly residential. The fires resulted in at least 97 confirmed deaths, making it the deadliest U.S. wildfire in over a century. Damages are estimated at $5.5 billion. Multiple fires occurred due to factors like downed power lines and dry vegetation. Emergency declarations were issued, prompting state and federal responses.

The response to the Maui wildfires has been criticized for its inadequacy compared to the vast financial aid sent to Ukraine amid its conflict with Russia. While the federal aid for Maui included immediate support from FEMA and various relief funds, many residents felt it was insufficient given the scale of devastation. In contrast, the U.S. has allocated tens of billions of dollars in military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, highlighting a stark disparity in the allocation of resources and raising questions about domestic priorities during crises.
